We celebrated his 2nd birthday today by going to an aquarium and then to Denny’s for dinner. I can’t believe my baby is TWO!!!

No, it’s not a caribou or a hermit crab! It’s a baby! Chris and I just found out we are expecting another child sometime in September. This will hopefully be the third and FINAL installment to the Morrison family. I’m getting too old for this morning sickness. Logan is very excited about the new baby. Every morning he asks me how my baby is feeling. He knows I’ve been sick so I’m assuming it’s because of that. He wants me to have a girl with blue hair and we’ll name her Marissa (after a little friend in NC). We went to his Cubbies class (he participates in a Christian program called AWANAS) and stood out in the hallway announcing the pregnancy to everyone that walked by. I got a lot of raised eyebrows and questioning looks before I realized what he was doing.
Please pray that this pregnancy goes smoothly as the others haven’t. There is a lack of high risk doctors on the island so I’ll have to be shuttled off island if there is a problem. So far I’ve been really sick but that’s nothing out of the ordinary. With God’s help I’ll get through it.

This is a caribou, also known as a water buffalo. They are HUGE! This one has a saddle (on the ground) and the biggest horns I’ve ever seen on one of them. We didn’t get a good pic head on (because the owner would have charged us) so you can’t really tell how far the horns curve in. Some of these guys are pretty tame but it’s not unheard of to run across a wild one in the jungle. I’ve been told to give them a WIDE berth or the sucker will charge!
Natural Pool, originally uploaded by lotymor.
Today we took a drive out to see more of Guam’s natural beauty. We came across this place. Salugula or something like that. I have not idea how to say or spell it so forgive me! The locals were swimming and diving into this pool. The waves were crashing just beyond the coral. It was absolutely beautiful. I want to go back sometime during the week when it’s not so crowded so we can swim. There is a light current flowing through so I think it would be fun to take a tube and float around as if in a lazy river.
Best friends!, originally uploaded by lotymor.
We’re on our way to the beach today with some friends of ours. I will take along the camera but I’m really focused on going snorkeling so I don’t know how many pics I’ll be taking. I just had to post this picture before we go. I managed to get Logan to let go of Tyler’s head so I could take this picture. Oh and Logan was winking at the camera if you can tell. That’s his new thing now. Last night at the restaurant he kept walking by people’s tables winking. I gotta get him to stop doing that!!
Our dining experience last night, originally uploaded by lotymor.
We went to a thai restaurant last night with the Brown family. It wasn’t bad even though I’m not crazy about thai food. The boys loved the rice and ate a ton of it. We ate outside and across the street there was a local chamorran (I think) group doing a ritualistic fighting dance. It was pretty cool. I got a few pics that you can see on flickr but they didn’t come out very good.
Say hello to my leetle friend!, originally uploaded by lotymor.
This pic was taken last weekend at Asan Park. Tyler found a cool looking shell and decided to pick it up. Little did he know that it was the home of our new friend, Hermie. When Hermie came out to say hello Tyler dropped him in a flash! Poor Hermie!
Sorry about the drop down menu fiasco. I just realized that I’m the only one that can see it on my main blog page for some odd reason. I wonder if there is someway to receive an email when the blog is updated.
I’m looking forward to my upcoming trip to Hawaii. I would really like to find some of the spots where they film my fav show, Lost. I’m also looking forward to seeing some REAL american stores like Old Navy and Walmart. I’ve been having an awfully hard time trying to find some decent clothes for the boys here. Logan is in need of some nice church clothes as well as playclothes and Ty just needs some playclothes. I can’t see myself spending $25 on a shirt which is pretty much the cost for things out here. I’m hoping to find some good outlets or something in HI so I can stock up on some clothes. Poor Ty has nasty looking hand me downs because my lil Logan isn’t exactly the cleanest eater.
Another trip we are planning now is a trip to Korea next month with our neighbors. I’ve heard there is some killer shopping there so I’ll be taking orders for Coach purses when you all are ready! ;-P
that you can subscribe to my blog? If I’m correct, if you subscribe to it you will be notified each time I add some fresh new “blog thoughts” to my page. Now I know you are all excited for that!!! ;-P By clicking on the drop down arrow next to “Blog Info” on the top right corner of this page there is an option to subscribe.
Another FYI about this blog that I’m learning…. you can view ALL the pictures that I’ve added to the site by clicking on the flickr photos on the right hand side. I can only stick a few on this page so I store the rest of them on Flickr. The link didn’t work before but I believe it is up and running now. I have well over a hundred photos so far.
One more thing…..leave me some comments! I want some positive confirmation people!! This blog is designed to be a window to my life, to monitor my comings and goings, my many adventures on Guam BUT I want to hear from you guys too! Or else it’s just weird, posting pics of myself for every stranger to look at! haha!
I miss you all dearly. I had a downer day today thinking about home. Sometimes I wish I were back in my house in Swansboro going to my awesome church, hanging with my family and friends. Love you all!
